Conventional NDT services

  • Dye penetrant testing (DPI)

DPI is a method that is used to reveal surface breaking flaws by bleed out of a colored or fluorescent dye from the flaw. DPI is one of the most widely used NDT methods. Its
popularity can be attributed to two main factors, its relative ease of use and its flexibility. DPI can be used to inspect almost any material provided that its surface is not extremely rough or porous.

  • Magnetic particle inspection (MPI)

MPI is a nondestructive testing method used for surface and near surface defect detection. MPI is a fast and relatively easy to apply and surface preparation is not as critical as it is for some other NDT methods. The method is used to inspect a variety of product forms such as castings, forgings, and weldments. Many industries such as the structural steel, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemicals use.

  • Radiographic testing (RT)

RT is a method of inspecting materials for hidden flaws by using the ability of short wavelength electromagnetic radiation (high energy photons) to penetrate various materials. While this method provides permanent records and can be used with real time imaging, it relatively high operational costs make this a specialized inspection method.

  • Ultrasonic inspection (UT)

UT Inspection uses high frequency sound energy to conduct examinations and make measurements. UT Inspection is a very useful and versatile NDT method for detecting both surface and subsurface volumetric defects and is widely used in pipeline, oil and gas and processing industry.
